2019 Firewood Newsletter Online Version

Winter is coming. It may seem that my newsletter is early this year, but it is easy to forget how quickly our hot dry weather changes to days and nights of wet and cold.

Call now so you can have quality seasoned firewood on hand.

This year marks over 45 years of delivering quality seasoned firewood at reasonable prices. I’m happy to say that this year we are able to let our customers choose either 100% hardwood or an outstanding mix of 75% hardwood and 25% softwood.

Our 2019 price list:
$175 - half cord 75/25 hardwood/pine softwood mix
$300 - full cord 75/25 hardwood/pine softwood mix
$225 - half cord oak hardwood
$400 - full cord oak hardwood

Yes, our prices are higher this year. This is because the price of doing business is higher. I have tried to avoid price increases, but the realities are that costs has gone up. I have tried to keep the increase low. I hope that no one goes for a winter without wood for their fireplace because of this increase. If that is your reality, let me know and we can work something out.

We provide Free Local Delivery throughout the Crescenta Valley including Glendale, Montrose, La CaƱada, Flintridge, La Crescenta, Tujunga, Sunland, Shadow Hills and Lakeview Terrace. There is a $20 charge for delivery outside of our local area.

Stacking is additional. Our stacking prices start at $25 for a half cord if the stack is within 20 feet of where the pick-up truck is parked and 50 cents per step over 20 feet. For a full cord, the price is doubled.

Please note that firewood should be stored in a well-ventilated outdoor area protected from the elements. It is very important to store your firewood so it will remain dry so it will burn well. Burning wet or improperly seasoned firewood produces extra smoke and soot and should be avoided. Our team can advise you if you have questions.

Ask about good deals on limb logs and irregulars for camping and fire pits.

I still don’t do email. When you want to order or if you have any questions, please call.

I wish you all warm and happy holidays - Dan Scully
