But many of my customers do. This year I am mailing out my usual newsletter, but I would like to build my email mailing list to save trees and make it easier for everyone to get my yearly reminder about our quality seasoned firewood at reasonable prices.

Once again we are offering quality seasoned firewood at reasonable prices. 

Last winter we finally got our El Niño-like rain, however it came too late to save many drought-stressed pine trees. In 40 years I can’t remember removing so many dead pines in such a short time. Though we had a few hardwood tree removals we fell short of this year’s goal of providing a 50/50 mix of hard and soft woods. My best guess is that our mix is going to run 70% pine and 30% hardwood. I have negotiated an additional source of premium hardwoods for next year, which will prevent this kind of shortfall in the future.

Those of you who have purchased from us before know all our woods burn well.

Because we were so busy this spring we didn’t have all the wood split by my June 1st self-imposed deadline. Pine seasons quicker so this is probably not a big deal but our crew will be instructed to cast out any heavier-than-normal pieces. 

The good news is that we are reducing our mixed wood price this year. 

$140 - half cord 70/30 pine/hardwood mix

$250 - full cord 70/30 pine/hardwood mix

We provide Free Local Delivery throughout the Crescenta Valley including Glendale, Montrose, La Cañada, Flintridge, La Crescenta, Tujunga, Sunland, Shadow Hills and Lakeview Terrace. There is a $20 charge for delivery outside of the local area.  

Stacking is additional. Our current stacking prices start at $20 for a half cord if the stack is within 20 feet of where the pick-up truck is parked and 50 cents per step over 20 feet. For a full cord, the price is doubled.

Firewood should be stored in a well-ventilated outdoor area and protected from the elements.

After a full summer of seasoning, we are ready to deliver outstanding firewood. We use only quality pine and hardwoods. Not all the wood we cut meets our standards for firewood. Our customers only get the best.

Our mixed woods contain pine and hardwood. Some feel that besides being economical, using a mixture of hardwood and softwood works because the softwoods ignite more quickly and then the hardwood burns longer after the fire is established. 

We deliver cords and half cords of seasoned firewood to customers throughout the Crescenta Valley. Our clients live in Glendale, Montrose, La Cañada, Flintridge, La Crescenta, Tujunga, Sunland, Shadow Hills, Lakeview Terrace and the surrounding areas. Order early to get the best selection.
